Lorenzo Pollicardo, naval architect and marine engineer, after 2 years of military service as Officer at the Italian Navy, spent 12 years at RINA, the Italian Class Society, as Head of the Yachting Department and Shipping Certification Department.
Between 1999 and 2008, he joined UCINA, the Italian Marine Industry Association, as Secretary General. In this role he has been also Chairman of the ICOMIA Technical Committee and the ICOMIA Super Yacht Committee; General Director of the European Boating Federation, and CEO of the ViareggiofUCINA, the Italian School of Yachting.
Between 2009 and 2015 he was Responsible of the Venice International Boat Show, advisor at The Docks, public relation and communications agency, coordinator of YARE, Yacht After Market & Refit Experience in Viareggio. He worked as Strategic Consultant at the Genoa Harbour Port Authority, at La Spezia City Mayor, at the Ligurian Marine Consortium “1 One“. Among the marine companies he assisted Cranchi, Besenzoni, Bellotti, Foresti & Suardi, Guidi. He is called to hold lessons at the Universities of Genoa, Milan, La Spezia, Rome, Parma.
Between 2015 and 2019 he was Secretary General of Nautica Italiana, Italian Marine Industry association, affiliated to Fondazione Altagamma.
Since 2009 he’s advisor of CNA-Nautica, the Italian Confederation of marine SMEs and marine shipyard suppliers and of Federagenti, the Italian Federation of Shipping Agents as Responsible of the Yacht Division.
Since February 2019 he is Technical & Environmental Director at SYBAss, Superyacht Builders Association.
